Role Overview
The Account Manager acts as the primary point of contact for all client-related needs, is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day finances of their assigned clients, and oversees a staff of Associates and Account Executives.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the main liaison for clients, handling daily financial requests and ensuring timely follow-up.
- Review and approve bookkeeper work (AP/AR, journal entries, general ledger, payroll, and financial statements).
- Monitor bank balances, approve transfers, and oversee credit card activity, fraud alerts, and credit score issues.
- Manage insurance renewals and claims; assist with home and vehicle purchases.
- Prepare budgets, cash projections, financial reports, and supplemental schedules.
- Lead client presentations and participate in meetings.
- Oversee tour accounting tasks: hard ticket settlement tracking, merchandise statements, and royalty analysis.
- Prepare and complete tax packages; ensure compliance with tax deadlines (1099s, estimated payments).
- Review contracts and create summaries; manage foreign touring, insurance, and tax mitigation issues.
- Supervise, mentor, and coach accounting staff; set performance goals and monitor productivity.
- Maintain accurate general ledger and trial balances; reconcile bank statements.
- Onboard new clients, set up vendors, and configure accounting systems.
- Process payroll, accounts payable, and cash receipts as needed.
- Coordinate client loan applications and collaborate with senior accountants for review.
- Provide backup coverage for other Account Managers when necessary.
- Other related duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of full-charge accounting and bookkeeping experience for high-net-worth individuals, preferably in entertainment business management.
- 3+ years in the music industry as an Account Executive/Manager or similar role with tour accounting experience.
- Strong client service background (3+ years).
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, insurance, bank reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Prior management experience required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software; experience with AgilLink, DataFaction, QuickBooks, Bill.com, and imaging software highly preferred.

This is an exempt position. Employee compensation is determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, employee education/training/credentials, employee work experience, work location (including if the employee will be hybrid or fully in-office), and market considerations.
The expected base compensation hiring range for this position is as follows:
Expected range: $92,500-$120,000 annually
